Without a base word, every username pairs one of 20 built-in adjectives with one of 20 built-in nouns — 400 possible word combinations before numbers — with the only difference between styles being capitalization and whether an underscore separates the two words. Adding a base word changes the pattern rather than just prefixing it: instead of a full adjective+noun pair, the tool appends just one randomly chosen extra word (either an adjective or a noun, never both) after your base text. When "Add numbers" is on, the trailing digits are a random value from Math.floor(Math.random() * 900) + 10 — a 2- or 3-digit number between 10 and 909 — chosen independently of the word pairing, so the same word combination can reappear with a different number elsewhere in the same batch.

Typing "Alex" as a base word instead changes the pattern: you'd get results like AlexWolf389 or Alex_Cosmic54, since a base word gets only one random extra word appended, not a complete adjective+noun combination.
