All units convert through grams as a common base, e.g., 1 pound = 453.592 grams, 1 kilogram = 1,000 grams.
Example Calculation
150 pounds converts to about 68 kilograms, or 10.7 stone. A 185-pound person converts to about 83.9 kilograms, 13.2 stone, or 2,960 ounces — the kilogram figure is the one most gym equipment and medical charts outside the US use. A 1-pound bag of flour is about 453.6 grams, close to the 500-gram bags common in metric countries.
