The Invoice Generator turns your business details, client information, and line items into a clean, professional invoice you can print or save as a PDF. Add your own logo, set tax and discount, and the totals calculate automatically — everything stays in your browser. Every field feeds directly into a live preview — including invoice number, invoice date, due date, and a free-text notes area for payment terms — so the finished document updates as you type. Add or remove as many line items as you need; each one's amount is quantity × rate, and when you apply both a discount and a tax rate, the discount is subtracted from the subtotal first and the tax is then calculated on that discounted amount, not the original subtotal. The currency symbol itself is a plain text field, so you can swap in €, £, ₹, or any other symbol and every dollar amount on the invoice updates to match.

How This Tool Works
Add your business details (and optionally a logo), your client, an invoice number and dates, then each line item with a quantity and rate. Set a tax rate or discount if needed, and click Print / Save as PDF to download your invoice.
Formula & Method
Each line total = quantity × rate. Subtotal is the sum of all line totals; discount is applied to the subtotal, tax is applied to the discounted amount, and the total due = subtotal − discount + tax.
Example Calculation
Two line items — 20 hours of consulting at $50/hr ($1,000.00) and a $250.00 flat project fee — bring the subtotal to $1,250.00. Apply a 10% discount (−$125.00) to get a taxable amount of $1,125.00, then add 7% tax on that discounted amount ($78.75), and the total due comes to $1,203.75, ready to print or save as a PDF.

Is this really free with no sign-up?+
Yes. There is no account, no watermark, and no limit. Fill in the invoice and use Print / Save as PDF to download it.
Where does my logo and data go?+
Nowhere but your own browser. The logo is read locally with your browser and everything you type stays on your device — nothing is uploaded to or stored on our servers.
How do I save it as a PDF?+
Click Print / Save as PDF, then in your browser or system print dialog choose "Save as PDF" as the destination instead of a printer.
Can I use it for any currency?+
Yes. Change the currency symbol field to your currency (for example €, £, or ₹) and all amounts on the invoice update to match.
Is tax calculated on the full subtotal or after the discount?+
After the discount. The discount percentage is applied to the subtotal first, and the tax percentage is then applied to that discounted amount — not the original subtotal — so entering both together gives the correct total due.
Will my invoice be saved if I close or refresh the page?+
No — nothing is saved automatically. All the details you enter live only in your browser tab while it's open, so use Print / Save as PDF before you close or refresh the page, or you'll need to re-enter everything.
